Guest conductor Barrie Gott conducts his composition of "Whiter". The Brisbane Excelsior Band (Howard Taylor) performed at the Brisbane Multicultural Centre. Mr Gott was Musical Director of the Band from 1995 to 2000.

Mr Barrie Gott was the Guest Conductor at "The Barrie Gott Showcase", presented by the Lane Cove Concert Band in Sydney Australia. He conducted four bands, all of which played his compositions. The Cameraygal Wind Symphony performed Mr Gott's "Jazz Suite for Band" which was the world premiere. A spontaneous and appreciative audience added to the exuberance of this concert. Acknowledgement to Mr Gavin Staines for his organisation of this event.
